Pandas might not be officially endangered anymore, but at this point we’re convinced that the number of panda-themed sneakers still outnumbers the actual animal. The latest pair to catch our eye is the Air Force 1 Mid “Reverse Panda,” which sees the familiar two-tone colour-blocking take over the classic silhouette.
Following on from the fluffier “Panda” version debuted just a couple of days ago, the AF1 “Reverse Panda” sees the pair take on a slightly less literal meaning – and as the name suggests, the colour-blocking has been switched. For this pair, a smooth black leather base gives way to tumbled white leather overlays for a heavily contrasted look.
The “Reverse Panda” AF1 Mid also sees the Beaverton brand’s signature Swoosh arrive with jagged edges, a detail that also appears on the heel tab. Nike Air branding details can be spotted on the tongue tabs and insoles, and another Swoosh logo sits on the ankle strap fastening. To finish, a chunky white AF1 sole unit sits underfoot, and white laces tie the pair together.
The “Reverse Panda” Nike Air Force 1 is set to drop sometime over the next few weeks, so be sure to hit the purple buttons if you’re thinking of picking up a pair! In other news, the Air Jordan 1 Mid is set to arrive in "Vintage Grey."
