Inspired by the "College Navy" and "Tech Grey" combination that represent Georgetown University in Washington DC, the Nike Air Jordan 1 High '85 "Georgetown" follows in a long line of AJ1 High '85s and will finally be released a mega 38 years after it was first teased.
Back in 1985, the "Georgetown Hoyas" sample was unveiled in the like-for-like colour-blocking we see here, with navy taking over the toe cap, eyelets, Nike Swoosh, heel and ankle panelling, whilst "Summit White" dresses the perfectly toned lace unit and the rest of the upper.
As usual, Michael Jordan's Wings insignia adorns the ankle flaps (taking the place of the original Hoyas logo), embossed in a light-mocha hue, whist the Nike Air branding at the top of the tongue comes in bold "College Navy". A padded tongue is guaranteed to keep you comfortable, whilst perforations across the toe box enhance the sneaker's breathability.
We've already seen these colour scheme used on a Dunk Low within the last year, but we have a feeling these are going to blow those out the water...
The off-white midsole gives an extra vintage element to this AJ1 which we already know is going to be popular for 2022, so stay locked in to find out when and where you can cop the Air Jordan 1 High 1985 Navy Grey when the time comes. It's thought that this pair will be landing around April time, so keep your eyes peeled about then. The best way to be in touch with all the latest Nike drops and restocks is to download our app!
