As we've already predicted, 2022 is going to be a pretty exciting year for the Air Trainer 1. One of the most underrated Tinker Hatfield-designed silhouettes ever made, it was introduced all the way back in 1987 and its design has pretty much remained unchanged since - well, until now, that is. After taking a sneak peek at the "Coriander", we're now getting our first ever look at the Nike Air Trainer 1 SP "Honeydew"!
Taking the classic model to another dimension, the "Honeydew" gives the shoe a futuristic aesthetic that's really growing on us. Painted in various shades of blue, brown, green, and grey, it's also crafted from a menagerie of materials too. From the ballistic mesh base to the nylon tongue all the way to the smooth leather panelling that wraps around the sneaker, this has got to be one of the most unique Nikes that we've seen in a very long time.
Swoosh branding can be found throughout while new tribal pattern-influenced details also play a huge role on this colourway. The signature buckle has been updated for a more technical look, and underneath this all you'll find a vintage yellow Air midsole that's as comfortable as it gets.
The Nike Air Trainer 1 SP "Honeydew" is expected to drop very soon, so make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for more release info as it develops! If you're not sure what size to get then check out our handy size guide, and in related news, this Travis Scott x Nike Air Trainer 1 is apparently inspired by the Houston Oilers!
