It's been almost five years since the Yeezy Boost 350 made its debut and four since the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 was introduced. While we've been been more than happy with the wide array of colourways that have released, we've always wondered why the Yeezy Boost 350 V3 was never unveiled.
It's a known fact that the Yeezy Boost 380 was originally supposed to be the 350 V3, however, this was changed last minute into an entirely new silhouette. With that said, we're now taking our first look yet at the Yeezy Boost 350 V3 Runner, and it's pretty mad to say the least.
While it may look pretty familiar from a distance, once you get up close and personal you'll begin to spot a ton of differences. First off, the Primeknit upper is decked out with these light grey patches that kind of look like zebra stripes. Mismatched taping can also be seen for an almost alien aesthetic.
Towards the back, you'll find a bright orange heel tab that bears a striking resemblance to the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Tail Light" that dropped earlier this year, and moving to the front, an adidas logo is debossed like what you'd find on the Yeezy 500 and Yeezy 700.
Interestingly enough, the brand used is the one for "adidas" and not "adidas Originals" like their current crop of Boost 350s. This may be because this one is focused on sports performance, hence the "Runner" portion of the name.
Of course, it wouldn't be a Kanye West shoe without a full length Boost midsole down below that's housed by a slightly see-through unit. This has been beefed up for added comfort with every step.
According to sneaker insider @yzysplyleaks, the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V3 Runner isn't the final design that will release in the future, but a sample that we actually caught a glimpse of back in Ye's iconic Forbes interview where he set out hundreds of never-before-seen silhouettes across a Calabasas parking lot.
Let us know what you think of this shoe, and while you're here, take your first look at the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Asriel" that's dropping later this year!
