The greatest weekend of spring is here – Easter weekend, of course – which means not one, but TWO bank holidays. While these days off work would usually be spent in the pub garden with all your mates, or at home with your family chowing down on a roast, the current COVID-19-induced lockdown means we all need to get creative to find more ways to spend the weekend.
If you've already exhausted most time-killing options, like making endless cloud coffees, baking banana loaf after banana loaf and binging Netflix until your eyes sting, we've got just the thing for you. Get your Marie Kondo hat on, ladies, because it's time to spring clean your wardrobe! Yep, the time has come to put the coats, knitwear and woolly hats under your bed and dig out your favourite wrap skirts, denim shorts and T-shirts!
We've rounded up five little tips and tricks to make spring cleaning your collection easier, more efficient and, of course, super fun!
1 - Put on Your Favourite Playlist!
Look, first things first, you're going to need a killer playlist if you're going to get through this spring clean. Whether it's a round-up of Beyoncé's greatest hits, the High School Musical soundtrack or your fave album by Drake, this is a no judgement zone. Just blare it over the speakers and you'll feel instantly motivated!

2 - Give Some Clothes to Charity
Now is the perfect time to get charitable. The world's in dire need of kindness, so why not set yourself a task to fill up one or two bags with clothes you think could use a new home. Then, when all this Coronavirus business is done, you can drop them off at your local charity shop! Good deed = done.
3 - Be Brutal, Darling
We've all got a pair of Levi's denim shorts under our bed that are a size too small, but y'know, they might fit 'one day'. Reality check: they won't, and they make you feel bad every time you see them! Just throw them out and get yourself a pair that fits. It's not you, honey, they shrunk in the wash and we've ALL been there.
4 - Get the Cleaning Products Out
Dig out the Dettol wipes and put on your rubber gloves, because the inside of your wardrobe might need a little scrub. It'll look instantly uplifted and it'll keep your clothes nice and dust-free! You can also use this time as a little opportunity to clean all your creps too, so get out that Crep Protect spray, girl.
5 - Treat Yourself!
Cleaning out your closet gives you a chance to figure out what your wardrobe's missing. Channel your inner Carrie Bradshaw, try on the clothes you're unsure about and treat yourself to a few new bits for the new season if you think your wardrobe will thank you.
