At the end of last year, G-Dragon redefined everything we knew about sneakers with the release of the Kwondo 1. Straying away from his usual Air Force 1 collaborations, the South Korean multi-hyphenate introduced an entirely new silhouette that was unlike anything we had ever seen before. Now, we're taking a look at a brand new colourway in the form of the PEACEMINUSONE x Nike Kwondo 1 "Panda" - and here's everything that we know so far!
Clearly inspired by more sartorial footwear options like brogues and loafers, the GD's next Nike project takes the "Triple White" that he debuted in December but paints sections of it black. Perforations and stitching throughout offer up a tailored aesthetic, while a stark black Swoosh along the side panels reminds us that this isn't any old shoe.
The BIGBANG leader's signature daisy logo is finely embroidered around the heel, and of course, you can't talk about this sneaker without mentioning the detachable tongue that's stamped with PEACEMINUSONE branding as well as the iconic emblem. To round it all off, the outsole is done up with a series of flowers, leaving behind one of the most unique shoe prints that any silhouette has to offer.
There's no news on when the PEACEMINUSONE x Nike Kwondo 1 "Black White" is set to drop, but if it's anything like Kwon Ji-yong's previous releases, it'll arrive sometime in December. Let us know if you'll be adding these to your collection later this year, and while you're here, here's a guide to Korean streetwear and the best brands to check out!
