After taking a very brief glimpse at his mysterious adidas Superstar collaboration last month, we're now getting up close and personal with the upcoming Sean Wotherspoon x atmos x ASICS GEL-Lyte III! A high heat collab that was first teased all the way back in October of last year (much simpler times), here's everything that we know so far!
Partnering up with the legendary Japanese duo for this shoe, the American fashion designer's latest sneaker stays true to his love of retro fabrics and colourful palettes. Decked out in panels and panels of corduroy, the GEL-Lyte III is painted in a multitude of mismatched hues that are different depending on the shoe you're looking at.
For instance, the left pair opts for darker tones including purple, green, and red, while the right one boasts a more pastel combination that combines orange, blue, and mint green together.
If you haven't noticed already, one of the most unique features of the Round Two co-founder's collab are the velcro panels that grace the lateral and medial side panels. This acts as a canvas for the variety of ASICS tiger stripes and patches that can be applied and customised. If you're feeling a little brave, you can even pop a Nike Swoosh logo on as well just to really mess with people's minds.
An official release date has yet to be announced for the Sean Wotherspoon x atmos x ASICS GEL-Lyte III, but if you want them early, Round Two are currently holding a competition over on their Instagram page to win a sample pair! Let us know if you'll be adding these to your collection, and while you're here, the ultra-customisable Nike Air Max 95 "Pollen Rise" is also covered in velcro!
