Without a shadow of a doubt, the Yeezy 700 V3 "Safflower" is one of the most intriguing Kanye West sneakers to drop this year. First leaked all the way back in July when it was dubbed the "Srphym" after one of the angels in the Bible, it was subsequently renamed following backlash from religious groups. With all that said, it's time to get up close and personal with the fourth 700 V3 release.
Not straying too far from the OG "Azael", the "Safflower" is tinted in a soft yellow hue inspired by the flower that it takes its name from. With a clean cream RPU cage that glows in the dark as soon as the lights are turned down, this is overlaid atop an ultra breathable Primeknit upper that's decorated with five stripes down the lateral and medial sides.
A U-shaped panel graces the toebox as a nod to the previous two 700 generations, and down below, you'll find a beige EVA foam midsole that's as comfortable as it gets. While we're unsure why Ye decided to drop adidas Boost for this particular silhouette, it has resulted in a pretty massive price decrease which is always welcome. Literally tying everything together is Kanye's brand new lacing system that offers infinite adjustability.
We're not entirely sure when the adidas Yeezy 700 V3 "Safflower" is expected to launch, but if the rumours are true, they should hit shelves on November 14th. Let us know what you think of this colourway, and in related news, the Yeezy Boost 700 "Sun" is rumoured to arrive in early 2021!
