Proceeding the launch of the duo's "Hacking Lab" earlier this year, Gucci x Balenciaga are back with their latest offerings in the form of a "Hacker Project" collab. This latest link-up merges classic and iconic silhouettes of both brands to create a mash-up collection with fresh style oozing at the seams.
The collection has been described as “an exploration on ideas of authenticity and appropriation within the fashion industry,” as it looks to classic archival styles for inspiration.
Leading the collection, we see a range of co-signed logo pieces that showcase classic motifs from both brands. For instance, a classic rain mac has been reimagined with an all-over Gucci "GG" monogram print as well as a white Balenciaga logo print and design. Elsewhere, we see the same monogram design with the "GG" replaced with a "BB" signature.
One of the key features of this project is the Balenciaga Triple S sneaker which now arrives with co-signed Gucci uppers. The shoe itself sports a mix of green, yellow and beige tones to create an eye-catching design. The full "Hacker Project" is available now on both brands webstores. In other news, glam up your gaming with this Gucci x Xbox Series X bundle.
