With the likes of Aminé, Action Bronson and Travis Scott all making waves in the sneaker industry, the rapper collabs just keep on coming. Now, the latest artist to receive his own signature shoe is none other than former Migos member Quavo, who’s lined up this Air Jordan 1 Low “Rocket Power” - a pair that’s said to pay tribute to his nephew Takeoff, who sadly passed away late last year.
Sharing the same name as Quavo’s upcoming album, the “Rocket Power” AJ1 Low keeps things relatively simple, leaving clean white uppers and specially-selected motifs to do the talking. At the heel, a small rocket logo boasts an infinity symbol, while a starry constellation spells out ‘Rocket Power’ at the sidewalls. Both of these design elements also feature on an acrylic card which accompanies the pair.
As it stands, release details for the Quavo x AJ1 Low “Rocket Power” are few and far between, but what we do know is that the pair is set to make its debut at today’s Good Time Atlanta event. Keep it locked to The Sole Supplier while we wait to find out whether the pair will see a wider release, as we’ll be the first to let you know as soon as we hear more.
Up next, take a peek at the new A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 5 “Diffused Blue”.
