Last month, The Sole Supplier reported that the Kasina x Nike Air Max 1 was on the way. Teased by the Beaverton brand itself via the SNKRS app, this marks the South Korean boutique's second Swoosh collab since 2020's Dunk Low. While not much was known about the project, we're now taking our very first look at the sneaker in question thanks to these brand new shots from @fakesickness!
There's no doubt that Kasina's take on the Air Max 1 is a masterful lesson in materials. With pony hair, pebbled leather, hairy suede, and supple nubuck all on one upper, the result is a truly breathtaking piece that's never been done before. Painted in burgundy, blue, navy, and orange tones, crisp white hues make their way to the laces, while a dash of cream surrounds the ankle portion.

Hangul can be found on the tongue tags and wooden deubrés, where it is laser etched on, and a tiny Nike Swoosh on the lateral toebox is finely embroidered with floral detailing for a summertime aesthetic. This all sits on top of an icy blue outsole and comes packed in a special edition shoebox that's one for the collectors out there.
According to our sources, the Kasina x Nike Air Max 1 will arrive alongside another colourway, so make sure you smash those "Notify me" buttons to be kept up-to-date. Let us know what you think of the SK-based retailer's latest collab, and while you're here, you might as well get up close with the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 "Baroque Brown"!
