Jordan 4s are having a moment right now, and what better way to keep up the momentum than releasing a retro of one of the most iconic pairs going? Sneakerheads across the globe have been eagerly awaiting the re-release of the Air Jordan 4 “Thunder”, and now the time has finally come. If you’re looking to add this pair to your collection, then listen up, and we’re about to tell you everything you need to know about how to cop the “Thunder” AJ4.
The Air Jordan 4 “Thunder” isn’t an OG AJ4 colourway, but it's still one of the most sought-after liveries going. The shoe debuted back in 2006 when it was released alongside the AJ4 “Lightning” as Jordan Brand looked to focus its efforts on expanding its presence within the lifestyle market. This allowed the brand to play with new colourways and materials, and create a whole host of new classics.
While the shoe was only released in men’s sizing back in 2006, a 2012 retro saw the pair drop in full-family sizing. This pair stayed true to the style’s original make-up. After dropping the 2012 version, Jordan retired the colourway for a while, meaning that it's been over 10 years since this pair has seen a release. You won’t want to miss out this time!
The Air Jordan 4 “Thunder” is unapologetically bold, and sees a heavily contrasting palette of black and yellow take over the shoe’s entirety. Though it keeps its nubuck construction, this pair actually takes on a slightly different shape to its previous retros, staying more true to the original AJ4 look. The sneaker also comes with all the design details you’d expect to see on the AJ4, including mesh side panels, ‘wing’ detailing and a visible Air unit.
The “Thunder” Air Jordan 4 is set to drop on the 13th of May.
The AJ4 “Thunder” will drop in full-family sizing. It will drop across adult, GS, PS and TD sizes. Check out our Air Jordan 4 size guide for everything you need to know about Jordan 4 sizing.
