How to Cop The Basement x New Balance 2002R "Earth Brown"

Following a shock drop of the "Cream" and "Green" colourways (which you would've caught if you follow @thesolerestocks over on Twitter), a third The Basement x New Balance 2002R has been officially confirmed by the London-based collective. Aptly named "Earth Brown", while we would normally associate this palette more with the fall months, we're definitely not complaining. On top of that, we're going to let you know how you can get your hands on a pair of these!

Building on top of a mocha-hued suede base, matte leather panels grace the toebox and heel, while a more chocolatey shade embraces the lateral and medial side panels. The usual New Balance branding on the tongue has been replaced in favour of BSMNT which appears in a chunky grey italicised font, while a pull tab around the heel offers up a rugged look and feel. This design element was also used on the previous colours that we unboxed earlier this year, but for some reason, it seems to work a whole lot better here.

Of course, you can't talk about this 2002R without mentioning the stealthy bottom half of the shoe. With nubuck wrapping around the back, this seamlessly joins the N-ERGY midsole underfoot which is also dipped in an all-black tone. To round it all off, BSMNT branding makes its way to the insoles and aglets, finalising the epically earthy aesthetic.
