At the end of last year, The Sole Supplier revealed that the Air Jordan 4 "Zen Master" was officially in the works. Inspired by Chicago Bulls coach Phil Jackson, more specifically, his unique style of thinking which is influenced by Eastern and Native American teachings, this holistic approach has since earned him the nickname "Zen Master". With all that said, if you were thinking of copping these this summer, you need to read on.
Originally supposed to drop as part of the Spring 2022 Retro Collection, this Air Jordan 4 boasts a powder dye-style canvas upper that seems to nod to the ancient Indian festival of Holi. Done up in various shades of "Amethyst" purple and pink, stark black accents hit the mesh panelling as well as the laces, though we're pretty sure these will come packed with an extra set too.
Translucent elements grace the lacing system and heel badge where you'll find the signature Jumpman symbol, and shifting your focus down below you'll also spot a crisp white and grey Nike Air midsole, finalising the truly one-of-a-kind design.
Okay, now it's time to get to the reason why you're here. After two pretty major delays, the Nike Air Jordan 4 "Zen Master" is set to launch on June 6th in all markets - except for the US. According to our sources, the Stateside launch has been cancelled altogether with no reasons given, but we assume it's got something to do with the ongoing stock issues that ever footwear company under the sun is currently experiencing. This is a little weird considering Phil Jackson is an American coach, but if we hear more we'll be sure to let you know.
For sneakerheads outside the US of A, make sure you smash the "Notify me" buttons to receive updates on the special release. Let us know if you'll be going for these this summer, and while you're here, you might as well take a closer look at the Air Jordan 4 "Military Black"!
