Virgil Abloh’s efforts within the sneaker industry certainly upped the game for collaborators everywhere. From his incredible early work with “The 10” to heading up the helm at the world’s biggest fashion house, you’d be hard-pressed to find a corner of the industry that he hasn't influenced. Now, even after his untimely death in 2021, that presence continues to be felt, as a new Virgil Abloh x Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 sample has come to light.
Various Louis Vuitton x Nike releases dropped throughout 2022, but this is our first look at a brand-new colourway, which comes courtesy of Louis Vuitton PR team member Imed Soussi. Featuring shades of both light and dark green and coming covered in a subtle LV monogram, the sneaker even sees gold detailing decorating Abloh’s signature Nike wordmark on the profile.
As it stands, there’s no news on whether this colourway will ever be made available to the public, and with Pharrell taking over at LV, we’ll have to wait a little longer to find out. In the meantime, UNION may have a new Air Jordan 1 in the works.
