Having firmly established itself as one of the industry’s most sought-after collaborators, JJJJound continues to prove that less is more, with just about everyone wanting a taste of its uniquely minimalist viewpoint. For its latest project, the Montreal-based design studio has rejoined forces with Reebok, this time for another take on the Club C sneaker.
Perfectly placed to capitalise on this year’s quiet luxury trend, the upcoming “Black” JJJJound x Reebok Club C sees Justin Saunders’ label put a focus on the pair’s materials, swapping out the model’s usual leather construction for a washed-out nubuck instead. And, though the pair is fundamentally just an all-black sneaker, it is somewhat of a departure for JJJJound, which normally sticks to white pairs or earth tones.
However, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen this style. Teased over on JJJJound’s Instagram with the caption FW23, sneaker fans were quick to point out that style had dropped on Reebok’s site earlier this year. This does mean that if you don’t fancy waiting for a restock to happen, you can actually pick up a pair for resale already. If you’d rather try and bag a pair for retail though, be sure to hit the release reminder link below to get notified as soon as “Core Black” JJJJound Club C drops at Reebok.
Up next, Nike has turned its Calm Slide into a mule.
