Jordan Brand is home to some of the most iconic sneaker silhouettes going, but the latest addition to its line-up pays homage to a legend. For 2023 (it is Jordan year, after all), the brand is set to drop a brand-new model, blending the best bits from previous silhouettes. The result is a 90s-inspired sneaker, the Stadium 90, which comes decked out in some of Hatfield’s signature motifs.
Touching down in a mixed-material construction, the new J’s build includes mesh, leather and suede, and is initially set to land in two colourways: “White/University Red” and “White/Grey. While still managing to boast a clean and modern look, the shoe spotlights Hatfield’s designs, including netted midfoot panels, shark teeth outlines at the forefoot and Nike Air Heel branding, borrowed from the AJ5. One extra detail that’s hard to miss is the Swooshes that sweep across the sidewalls, as well as the new Stadium 90tongue tabs explicitly designed for the silhouette. Underfoot, the model comes equipped with the latest tech, as the brand’s Formula 23 cushioning ensures a comfy ride.
What do you think of the new model? Is it one that you’ll be clearing space on your shelves for? Let us know what you think, and in the meantime check out the AJ1s that are dropping soon.
