One of the things that we love about the AJ1 is just how versatile it is. Not only is it one of the most comfortable sneakers currently available, it also has the unique attribute of being able to take inspiration from absolutely anywhere, and this can certainly be said about the Air Jordan 1 High OG "Atmosphere". Unveiled by sneaker insider @zsneakerheadz, the upcoming colourway pays homage to Michael Jordan's love of chewing gum. You read that right.
You see, not only is MJ the best basketball player ever to grace the Earth, he's also an avid chewing gum lover too. Known for masticating the sweet treat at a ground-breaking pace, this goes on to inspire the "Atmosphere's" light pink leather panelling which sits atop a crisp white base. The former is decked out in a glossy finish while the latter arrives in matte, adding depth to the Air Jordan 1 design.
A stealthy black Nike Swoosh shoots across the lateral and medial side panels, and this is complemented by the iconic winged basketball motif that's finely debossed onto the ankle. To round it all off, the Air midsole underfoot is lined with a baby pink rubber outsole, finalising the design.
According to our sources, the Nike Jordan 1 High OG WMNS "Atmosphere" will drop on December 22nd, and as its name states, will be exclusive to female footwear fanatics. Let us know if you'll be adding these to your collection later this year, and in related news, Georgetown vibes feature on the Air Jordan 1 High '85 "College Navy"!
