While Michael Jordan is very much retired from the court these days, it’s safe to say that his impact on the sport of basketball has left a lasting legacy that still resonates with players and fans around the world even today. To celebrate the GOAT’s impressive career, Certified Sports Guaranty will display all six of his NBA championship-winning sneakers for the first time ever. The shoes were worn during the finals of the 1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997 and 1998 NBA seasons.
When asked about the exhibition, CSG’s chairman Mark Salzberg stated “Even after examining the world’s most important collectibles for four decades, the Dynasty Collection had the power to take my breath away. For the role these shoes play in our collective consciousness, how they relate to sports, fashion and celebrity, they are the contemporary Ruby Slippers, only rarer.”
If you’re interested in viewing this incredible exhibition, it will be displayed at the National Sports Collectors Convention in New Jersey, USA from the 27th to the 31st July. Those interested can also sign up online for a virtual look at the collection. Make sure to keep it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier for all the latest sneaker and streetwear news, and while you’re here check out these four upcoming Swoosh releases!
