Updating the classic Air Force 1, Nike have combined some of their favourite features of all time, including the embroidered mini-Swooshes on the forefoot and translucent outsole and midsole, to create one pretty-in-pink sneaker that is reminiscent of the Valentine's Day AF1 that recently released.
The usual features that are found on the classic AF-1 silhouette remain. Perforations across the toe box add comfort and breathability, whilst cushioning around the ankle ensures that your foot is kept secure and in place. The profile Nike Swooshes sit on the medial and lateral sidewalls in pink suede, but what's more is, the Swoosh contains printed capital letters of the Nike Trademark and Air branding, hence the "Overbranded" nickname.
The base is constructed from a mixture of smooth and tumbled leather, with the latter featuring on the overlays. Matching to the colourless body, a white lace unit adds clarity and allows the silver lace lock to stand out. Writing on the dubrae reminds wearers of the year the Air Force 1 was first released - 1982. A pink Nike branding tag at the top of the tongue matches to the tones used on the Swoosh and heel, as well as a tiny mini-Swoosh at the bottom of the tongue.
