A couple of months have passed since Air Max Day back in March, but the Swoosh brand is continuing to roll out more and more variation of everyone’s favourite sneaker silhouette. The latest to join the line-up of Air Max 1 styles is a collab with South Korean Boutique, Kasina, and features a number of colourful details. Although official images of the pair haven’t yet been released, an early look at the Kasina x Nike Air Max 1 has been debuted over on Instagram, so let’s take a closer look.
Crafted from a carefully curated mix of materials, this collaborative pair is seriously special. Panels of pebbled leather, pony hair, suede and nubuck come together to form the upper, with each material taking on a beautiful shade of deep burgundy, orange or blue. In contrast, a cream-colored hue spills over the ankle, and a white Nike Swoosh shoots across the sidewall of each sneaker.
The attention to detail doesn’t stop there, though. The tongue tabs and deubrés both sport Hangul writing, and a mini Swoosh at the forefoot comes decorated with delicate floral embroidery. This all sits atop a “Sail” midsole that pairs perfectly with cream panels above, and an icy blue midsole rounds the pair off perfectly.
The Kasina x Nike Air Max 1 is rumoured to release alongside another colourway later this year, so be sure to hit those release reminders and keep it locked as more details emerge.
Up next, here are the Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1s that are coming to retail.
