Move over 550 - there's a new silhouette in town. As New Balance continues to move from strength to strength this year, the Boston brand has seen one of its most underrated silhouettes become a top hit in the sneaker space. We are, of course, talking about the 9060 - a model that pairs iconic NB history with a contemporary twist.
Accompanying the "Arctic Grey" addition we saw as part of "Grey Day" last month, we now see two new colourways, namely the "Driftwood" and "Quartz Grey." Each of these new silhouettes arrives with the classic 9060 construction, with notes of the 99X series ever-present. Atop its robust and Y2K-inspired midsole, you'll find overlaying premium suede panels, backed up by a jumbo-mesh underlay, delivering a number of layers that work in unison.
In terms of differences between the "Driftwood" and "Quartz Grey," there aren't many to be seen. Both shoes sport off-white midsoles with grey sections, and both see the New Balance "N" logo in a beige hue on the lateral and medial walls. The only key difference is the colour of the quality suede overlays, but with how good both pairs look in hand, you're bound to have a hard time picking! Sizes are moving fast, so be sure to check out New Balance's website now for a chance to get your hands on these.
