It has been 15 years since Nike began working with the Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Oregon. With gifted patients from the hospital designing some of the craziest sneakers of all time, these kids have bought a serious amount of joy to the sneaker community.
Now, the Swoosh brand are set to bring back the iconic Nike Air Max 95 by Jacob Burris 'Doernbecher'. Inspired by Jacob's nickname "The Bionic Boy";, this was given to him due to his rare heart condition.
Donning a circuit board pattern across the majority of the sidewalls, this then continues down onto the Air Unit, lace stays and midsole. This vibrant pattern is matched with a gradient colourway across the upper.
With an icy midsole complimenting the futuristic vibes, this red to blue colour scheme is subtle but effective. Launching February 19 through the SNKRS app, the Nike Air Max 95 Doernbecher by Jacob Burris is all set to be a hit with sneakerheads across the globe.
