Long before the days of Nike’s ACG line, sneakerheads had to settle with a selection of models geared up for the great outdoors. As it turns out, the trail runners and hiking shoes of the 80s weren’t too shabby.
Nike’s Lavadome was one of the pioneering models for the brands initial all terrain campaign. It was the first of it’s kind to be dubbed a hiking shoe.
Now we’re guessing most of you won’t heading off road with these sneaks. After all, you can’t ruin that textured suede which hits the upper. But the super durable construct should be tempting for the upcoming colder months.
Take a look at the huge tread on the black outsole! You’ll be kept safe on those icy mornings while a canvas crafted upper is both hard wearing and lightweight.
Oh and did we mention this was an Ultra design? That’s right, Nike have take the original construct and made it even lighter by hollowing out the midsole. It doesn’t sacrifice protection but it’s a whole lot more comfortable.
The Nike Lavadome Ultra has landed in two colourways: Grey/orange & Brown/navy. Grab yours now via Nike Store Europe and other major retailers.
