There's some high heat coming up just around the corner, and we're not just talking about the weather. This May, the sneaker game will be seeing some of the hottest drops in a very long time. From Virgil Abloh's second posthumous Off-White collaboration to Travis Scott's long-awaited Nike comeback, we're also getting some pretty fire Air Jordan 4s as well. So that you don't have to look through our entire Release Calendar, we've highlighted the most hyped sneakers set to launch in May 2022 down below!
If you want any of these coveted creps in your summer rotation, then make sure you hit the "Notify me" buttons and you'll be kept up-to-date as soon as more release info comes through. This is best way to secure your size so do it now before it's too late! It's also worth keeping this article saved and bookmarked as we'll be adding new pairs in here weekly!
To kick things off, there are two must-have Air Jordan 4s on the way, namely the "Blank Canvas" and the "Military Black". The former drops the usual leather construction in favour of a versatile canvas upper that's perfect for the summer months ahead, while the latter takes inspiration from the legendary "Military Blue" but swaps all the blue hues for black tones instead, resulting in a colourway that's a true rotation essential.
Rumour has it that stock levels are pretty good, so your chances of copping will increase a little. With that said, you still need to make sure you're kept up-to-date at all times, so hit that "Notify me" button now.
Virgil Abloh was working on his Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Mid collaboration for quite some time before his untimely passing back in November. Celebrating the iconic basketball model's 40th anniversary, it will be available in two colourways including "Black" and "White".
While the late Off-White founder and Louis Vuitton designer could've just replicated his usual AF1 Low formula and called it a day, he did so much more than just that. With a fabric and ripstop upper, the side Swooshes are made of a see-through plastic that adds depth to the design. The midsole features a wavy aesthetic that looks like it has come straight out of the factory, while a little hole has been cut-out to showcase the Air bubble within. Of course, you can't talk about these pairs without mentioning the neon rubber spikes underfoot.
While Virgil exposed the Air bubble, Travis Scott decided to conceal it with the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1. We first caught a glimpse of this collaboration all the way back in August last year. While they were meant to drop towards the end of 2021, they were delayed indefinitely out of respect for the victims of the Astroworld Festival tragedy.
Now, rumour has it that La Flame's AM1 will be releasing in "Baroque Brown" and "Saturn Gold" in May. Fully reworking the silhouette from the ground up, it seems like every single aspect of the model has been re-designed for this partnership. We're also getting news that three more colourways are on the way, so stay tuned.
To celebrate its 35th anniversary, Travis will also be taking on the Air Trainer 1 with his upcoming Travis Scott x Nike Air Trainer 1. Also rumoured to be dropping in May, he has added so many cool details throughout the shoe. If you weren't a fan of Tinker Hatfield's AT1 before, you definitely will be now.
Set to arrive in "Baroque Brown" and "Grey Haze" palettes, the corduroy and riptop upper gives the sneakers an extremely rugged look and feel. Thick rope laces tie everything together, while hidden pockets on the tongue and heel give you space to store your secret stash. You might also notice a series of pop rivets scattered across the upper. These are actually used to attach a waterproof shroud so you can protect your creps from the rain and snow.
