Let's take a trip down memory lane to a time when Oakley had the accessory game in a true chokehold. During the late '90s and early '00s, the Californian eyewear brand set itself apart with its almost futuristic aesthetic combined with a heavy celebrity endorsement. Some pieces from the time period even now sell for thousands. Looking to revive those glory days, Oakley has now collaborated with Palace Skateboards to deliver a selection of both accessories and apparel.
Based around Oakley's Re:Subzero glasses, the collection embodies a Y2k aesthetic ideal for those looking to break away from the norm this summer. Two pairs have been produced, featuring silver and 24-karat gold outlines, respectively. Each pair then arrive with either silvery or black Prizm lenses and a stylish neck strap.
From an apparel perspective, we see workwear-like pieces arrive decorated with either beige or black tints. Jackets, hoodies, trousers, and more, come equipped with co-branded signatures, with a Palace text imprint occupying the space under Oakley's "O" emblem. The full range will launch this Friday, the 9th of June, as part of Palace's Week 6 drop. For those looking to cop, it will be available both in-store and online. In other fashion news, The Black Collection is Fear of God ESSENTIALS' stealthy new initiative.
