Just over a year after his appointment as the Creative Director of New Balance’s Made in USA Line, Aimé Leon Dore founder Teddy Santis has finally shared a preview of what we can expect to see from his upcoming New Balance collection.
Bringing his signature preppy, grown-up streetwear style to the Boston-based brand, the collection is split into three categories. “Elevated Legacy” sees Santis reimagine New Balance’s classic colourways in new ways, “Uniform Staples,” provides elevated basics, and “Quickstrike” sees new colours and materials used across some of New Balance’s most popular models.
In terms of footwear, the first drop will focus on the 990 silhouette, with a 990v1, 990v2 and 990v3 in the works. Each feature a grey, cream and tan colour palette, with hairy suede, leather and mesh making up the construction across the selection of silhouettes.
The drop is also set to include a range of apparel, based on classic American styles and sportswear, with the lookbook boasting a vibe very similar to that seen at Santis’ Aimé Leon Dore. This will include tees, sweatshirts, joggers and shorts that feature a classic colour palette and subtle New Balance branding hits.
The collection is set to drop in the US on 28th April with a UK release planned for the 26th May. Peep the gallery below to see the full collection, and set your release reminders for the sneakers by hitting the purple buttons.
Up next, New Balance team up with JJJJound on a new 990v3.
