When it comes to collaborations, JJJJound and New Balance always bring the heat, and this latest pair is no exception. Following on from the Khaki pair that dropped earlier this year, Justin Saunders has teamed up with the Boston-based brand on another 990v3 colourway. The JJJJound x New Balance 990v3 “Brown” is set to drop this month, so here’s an official look at the pair.
Arriving in an earthy brown shade, the “Brown” JJJJound x NB 990 is giving us some serious Gorp vibes, but outdoorsy palettes is something JJJJound does best. Like the pairs before it, the JJJJound 990v3 “Brown” comes constructed from hardwearing mesh and premium suede, only this time each element comes in varying brown tones. The mesh takes on a light tone, whilst a similar suede takes on the majority of the upper. This comes offset with dark brown leather overlays, as well as a brown ‘N’ logo, black tongues and dark brown laces. The pair comes finished with an all-black rubber sole that’s been infused with ENCAP technology for a comfortable ride.
At this point we feel that the duo can do no wrong, and we think this colourway is a great neutral option that’ll stand the test of time. The “Brown” JJJJound x New Balance 990v3 is set to drop on the 12th May at JJJJound, with a global release planned on newbalance.com on Wednesday May 18th. These will be a tricky cop, so be sure to hit the release reminder button for your best chance of grabbing a pair on the day!
Up next, the New Balance 2002R gets a practical update with pockets.
