If you’re still salty after taking the L on the “Monarch” pair then don’t stress too hard just yet, as release details for the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 “Noise Aqua” have just been unveiled! The pair is part of a wider collaboration between the Amsterdam-based sneaker retailer and Nike that has been ongoing for many years, with the legendary Air Max 1 used as the focus of the partnership this time around.
First introduced in 1987, the AM1 was designed by Tinker Hatfield and was the first ever Nike sneaker to showcase visible Air technology, making it revolutionary. The sneaker quickly developed a cult following and remains one of the most important silhouettes in the footwear scene to this day, making it perfect for Patta to work on.
Decked out in a clean colourway that’s made up of white, grey and blue, this pair offers up a slightly altered take on the OG Air Max 1 silhouette, as the mudguards instead take on a wavy pattern to fit in with the concept of the collaboration, titled “Waves Not Cycles”. Nike’s signature Swoosh logo is placed on the lateral and medial sides, while dual Nike/Patta branding is located on the tongues. The sneakers are also set to come complete with limited-edition packaging and an anklet.
Along with the footwear release, a whole apparel collection will also launch in similar colours. Whatever you’re trying to cop from the collection, the good news is that the whole pack is set to launch via Patta on the 29th October, followed by a wider release at select retailers on the 5th November. Make sure to keep it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier for all the latest and while you’re here, check out your first look at the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Mid!
