It was back in February that Travis Scott revealed a potential Air Force 1 collaboration to his 16 million Instagram followers. At the time, there’s wasn’t any confirmed release info. Some even claimed these were nothing more than bespoke 1-of-1 pair.

Thankfully, that doesn’t appear to be true. According to several sources, La Flame will in fact reprise his Nike AF1 collaboration. The question is, are these going to be even more hyped than last year’s?!

It’s hard to forget last year’s style  which arrived with removable Velcro Swooshes. This was a shoe that quickly sold out before commanding eye-watering resell prices. The follow up colourway in ‘Sail’ wasn’t quite as limited but it still remains a commodity.

Although you might have expected Travis to continue with a similar theme, his 2019 Air Force 1 is entirely different. For a start, this isn’t a monochromatic colourway, it’s something way more eye-catching.

Different fabric is utilised in a patchwork style upper that sees muted tones of brown alongside pastel blues and greens. This decisive colourway is already creating controversy. One follower of @py_rates commented, “Take off Travy’s co-sign and these would be on outlet shelves for an additional 40% off!”

Love it or hate it, these collaborations from Travis Scott are often quick to sellout. Rumoured to launch in October, this pair follows on from next month’s Travis x Jordan 1 ‘Backwards Swoosh’.
