Updated 11/9/23: Hot off the back of his appearance at Nike SNKRS Day, Samuel Ross has finally confirmed a launch date for two colourways of his A-COLD-WALL* x Nike TN98 Air Max Plus. Alongside the release date announcement, Ross also revealed a few new details about the silhouette, confirming its construction to consist of a thermo-molded exoskeleton, and leather uppers designed to age with patina.
Having first leaked back in May, sneakerheads have been eagerly awaiting a drop, and it has now been revealed that the pairs will be hitting Nike’s SNKRS app on the 19th of September. They will also be available to buy on the 12th from ACW*'s own site, and are expected to hit select retailers on the 21st.
If you’re looking to secure your size in either the “Onyx” or “Stone” colourway of the ACW* x Nike TN, then be sure to hit the ‘Notify me’ button to set a release reminder ahead of the drop, and check out the original article below for an in-depth look at the pairs.
Original Article: A-COLD-WALL* has managed to firmly cement itself as one of the most interesting collaborators within the sneaker scene, and has joint projects with Dr Martens, Converse and Nike under its belt. Having revived the Vomero back in 2018 (a style that probably wouldn’t be enjoying its renaissance right now had this not happened), Samuel Ross’ brand has since turned its attention to another Swoosh classic - the TN Air Max Plus.
Hailing from London, it's no surprise that ACW* has opted for the silhouette, which is favoured by those on the city’s streets. Swapping out the model’s usual lucid colour palettes, the two ACW pairs arrive in minimal “Stone” and “Onyx” make-ups and boast techy-looking detailing throughout.
Premium leather uppers give way to sharp and defined cut-outs, which offer subtle contrast in the form of the Swoosh logo and small squares along the side panels, while other sections of the sneakers come peppered with branding hits. ACW branding also hits the insoles, tongue tabs and each of the shoe’s spines - each wordmark a reminder of the mark Ross’ work has made on the world of design.
Though we’re still yet to hear of a release date for the A-COLD-WALL* x Nike Air Max Plus colourways, official images are now available for your viewing pleasure. Take a look at the pairs below, and don’t forget to set your release reminders to be the first to know when they drop.
