It looks like things are getting a little wavy over at the Beaverton brand as we take our first look at the upcoming Nike Dunk Low "Ocean". Inspired by the vast body of water that brings peace and calm to our senses no matter the season, here's everything we know so far!
Taking on an aquatic aesthetic that we can definitely appreciate, this Dunk works on top of a crisp white leather base. Sea blue panels wrap around the entire upper, textured with a wavy finish that's adds depth to the design. The same material makes its way to the lateral and medial side Swoosh, while the tongue tab features an underwater-inspired graphic that we love to see.
While Nike could've just left it there and called it a day, they've gone to the trouble of creating a custom outsole that mimics the depth of the ocean. Dipped in various blue hues, these are the types of details that make the 1985 basketball silhouette so sought-after.
A release date for the Nike Dunk Low "Ocean Blue" has yet to be revealed, but our sources tell us that a summer launch is imminent. Let us know if you'll be grabbing a pair later this year, and in related news, the Nike Dunk Low "Avocado" is made from buttery materials!
