Nike is exploring the realms of overpriced fruit this season with the upcoming Nike Dunk Low "Avocado". Inspired by the fruit of the same name, it's definitely one of the most unexpected colourways to drop this year - and here's what we know so far.
Unveiled by sneaker insider @brandon1an, this Dunk is painted in a dark green colour scheme and is crafted from a leather that mimics the tough exocarp shell of an avocado. Lighter green accents outline all the features for an even more organic aesthetic, while pale yellow tones descend upon the heel and sockliner. A fruit sticker-inspired graphic can be found on the lateral toe, while the inside of the tongue features a series of "Nutrition Facts", similar to what was seen on the Social Status x Nike Dunk Mid.
Of course, you can't talk about this shoe without mentioning the psychedelic font used on the back. Harkening to the avocado's healthy nature, we can't help but to draw similarities between this and the Grateful Dead x Nike SB Dunk Low.
Expect the Nike Dunk Low "Avocado" to ripen sometime this summer. If you want to pluck these off the tree, make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for your best chance to crop (pun intended). Let us know what you think of this upcoming colourway, and in related news, the Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike Dunk Low is unlike anything we've seen before!
