Thought you’d seen every possible take on the Air Jordan 1 Mid by now? Think again. An early look at a brand-new pair has revealed that the silhouette could soon be dropping in a wear-away version. A first look at the Air Jordan 1 Mid Wear-Away "White Black Red" suggests that the pair is likely to arrive in an OG–inspired colourway, so here’s what we know so far.
Images by sneaker insider chickenwop_ appear to show the “Wear-Away” AJ1 Mid in an already-worn state, so it looks like the shoe’s original form could take on a “Panda” makeup. Once worn down, the overlays look to take on a “Chicago” inspired red hue, that contrasts against the bright white base that takes up the majority of the shoe. The worn-down blocking options mean there are a number of ways to wear the shoe, you could even go for more of a “Black Toe” inspired look if that’s your thing! The “Wear-Away” Jordan 1 Mid then sees a “Sail” midsole round off the colourway, which adds to the vintagey worn aesthetic of the overall pair.
Although details are scarce right now, we’re actually really excited for this “Wear Away” Air Jordan 1 Mid to release, and we can’t wait to see how sneakerheads make them their own. Be sure to keep it locked for more photos and info as it comes in, as we’ll be the first to let you know when we hear more!
Up next, the Air Jordan 1 "Chicago" is set to see a re-release this year.
