It's hard to deny Jordan's influence in skate culture, especially high-tops like the AJ1. Although this was a basketball first and foremost, it wasn't long before it was picked up by the skateboard fraternity. To celebrate that relationship, Nike SB joins Air Jordan for a 2019 collaboration.
There was rumours of a low-top design but thankfully, for all you purists, these are in fact a high-top. Leaked images just surfaced courtesy of @solebyjc.
Recently showcased on the feet of Nike SB team rider Theotis Beasley, this pair sports a Lakers-inspired colourway. A strong use of purple makes these especially striking along with hits of gold to the sidewall Swoosh and heel. A colour fading technique has also be utilised, not dissimilar to the Jordan 1 'Chicago'.
Although several Nike SB x Jordans have released in the past, this particular style looks to be insanely hyped. As you'd expect, stock is thought to be limited.
A release is coming in 2019 but an exact date is yet to be confirmed. For more news on this collab as well as the latest Jordan 1s, keep it locked to @thesolesupplier - an update is expected soon.
