The NMD is making waves this year. Following the release of the "Ice Mint" back in February and Pharrell's RYAT, we're now taking our first look at the adidas NMD S1 MTBR "Triple Black". Part of the Three Stripes' ultra-sustainable 'Made To Be Remade' line, here's everything that we know so far!
Featuring a recycled Primeblue upper, the "Triple Black" is dipped in an all-black hue that's as stealthy as it gets. Embroidered Three Stripe branding shoots across the lateral and medial side panels removing the need for the usual monofilament mesh, while in-built eyelets harken back to silhouettes like the 350 V2 and the 450. Thick rope laces tie everything together, and the heel is contrasted with a splash of white.
The Boost midsole is made from a concoction of black and white pebbles which makes us think back to the days whenever adidas couldn't actually produce black Boost, and this is all housed within a see-through unit that's also crafted from recycled materials. Of course, you can't talk about this Nomad without mentioning the outsole that's made up of a series of Trefoils and the "Made To Be Remade" moniker along the tongue and heel, finalising the design.
We're not entirely sure when the adidas NMD S1 Made To Be Remade "Triple Black" will drop, so make sure you smash those "Notify me" buttons to be kept up-to-date. Let us know if you'll be going for these, and in related news, the RIMOWA x adidas NMD S1 is coming soon!
