The AFEW x ASICS GEL-Lyte 3 OG "B.O.I." Is Inspired by Wabi-Sabi

AFEW has worked on some beautiful collaborations in the past, but the upcoming AFEW x ASICS GEL-Lyte 3 OG "B.O.I." may just be one of their best ones yet. Following on from their "Beauty of Imperfection CP 1/1" project which raised almost £11,000 for charity, the power duo have reunited once again for another highly sought-after sneaker - and here's everything that you need to know!

Arriving in an understated "Polar Shade" and "Seagrass" concoction, the "B.O.I." takes inspiration from the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-Sabi. This belief centres around the acceptance of transience and imperfection. Through this, the pastel-hued pair features wear-away materials across the Tiger stripes which reveal a completely different colour underneath. This means that no two of these GEL-Lyte 3s will be exactly the same.

Elsewhere, this ASICS boasts a leather heel mould and a full suede construction that's as premium as they come. Sustainable cork insoles are printed with "Wabi-Sabi" in Japanese characters, and everything is beautifully rounded off with a gum rubber outsole. This all comes packaged up in a special edition shoebox that's definitely one for the collectors out there.
