The Air Jordan 1 Element GORE-TEX Is Ready for Winter

GORE-TEX has been a seasonal favourite for Nike for a few years now, with the brand using the famous weatherproof fabric to create winterised versions of every sneakerhead’s favourite silhouette. This time around things are being taken to brand-new levels, as for the first time ever a GORE-TEX variant of the legendary Air Jordan 1 has been unveiled. While leather AJ1s are already a strong winter option, this new pair is set to change the game.

Titled the Air Jordan 1 Element GORE-TEX, the pair offers up a slightly reinforced take on the standard AJ1 cut, ideal for combating the harsh elements throughout the winter months. If that wasn’t enough, they’re also decked out in a colourway that’s extremely reminiscent of the legendary 1985 “Shadow” colourway.

Crafted from two different GORE-TEX fabrics across the upper (a mis of a suede-like material and technical mesh), the pair showcase classic Swoosh branding on both the lateral and medial sides as well as the iconic Jordan Brand wings logo on the collar. Nike Air branding features on the tongue in vibrant orange, while GORE-TEX’s typeface logo is indiscreetly placed onto the rear. Of course, this all sits on top of a full-length Nike Air unit to ensure that there’s no sacrifice in comfort when rocking these.
