We’re not 100% sure what it is about “Mocha” colourways that we love so much, but we do know that we're always happy to see one. The new Air Jordan 1 Mid “Brown Toe” borrows from the iconic brown, black and white “Mocha” Air Jordan 1 High OG colourway of 2020, switching up the colour-blocking, construction and cut for a fresh take on the sneaker.
Swapping out the leather make-up of the OG for a twill construction, the “Brown Toe” AJ1 Mid is a slightly more rugged take on the shoe, and to match the fabric, most of the details arrive in raised embroidery. This rings true for the eyelets, Jordan Wings logo on the ankle flaps, and the Nike Swoosh, which takes on a build similar to that seen on the Stüssy AF1s.
Looking at the early images, it also appears that the “Mocha” brown colour has taken on more of a chocolatey tone, and this time favours more of a “Brown Toe” Jordan 1 style colour-blocking - meaning that toe box matches the heel and ankle flaps. Swapping out a black tongue for the chocolate hue, the darkest shade wraps around the toe cap, eyelets and collar instead. Finally, a white base and white midsole offer a pop of contrast, keeping the “Brown Toe” Jordan 1 Mid consistent with the “Mocha” palette.
Right now, not much else is known about the upcoming “Brown Toe” Air Jordan 1, but be sure to keep it locked as more info and images come to light, as we’ll be the first to let you know when we hear more!
Up next, a UNC-inspired Air Jordan 1 Low is on the way.
