With the re-release of the iconic "Cool Grey" just around the corner, it looks like Jordan Brand has yet another AJ11 up its sleeve as we get our first look at the Air Jordan 11 Adapt "UNC". The second colourway to grace the self-lacing silhouette, if you want to go back to the future then this is the best way to do it!
Arriving in the legendary "University Blue" colourway or "UNC", this Air Jordan 11 pays homage to Michael Jordan's alma mater, the University of North Carolina. Painted in the establishment's signature white and blue school colours, the Tinker Hatfield classic features a rugged ripstop upper while the mudguards are dressed up in supple suede.
Following in the footsteps of other Nike self-lacing masterpieces such as the Adapt Huarache and the Adapt BB 2.0, the "UNC" features a motor that's built into the icy blue Air midsole. Two buttons let you adjust the shoe with ease, but it also works with your smartphone and smartwatch as well. If you're not a fan of cables, they come with a wireless base where you just set your shoes on top and they'll get juiced up instantly.
A release date has yet to be officially confirmed by Jumpman, but we think that the Nike Air Jordan 11 Adapt "University Blue" will launch either in December or January. Let us know if you'll be going for these, and in related news, the Air Jordan 3 Retro "Fire Red" is set to return in 2022!
