Positioned as a chunkier counterpart to tech focused runners like the GEL-Kayano 14 and GT-2160, the GEL-NYC expands the scope of ASICS’ ongoing renaissance in the sneaker world. With its name nodding to New York City and its collaborative origins rooted in urban influence, it’s fitting that the latest edition, titled “Gravel,” takes inspiration from the city’s industrial landscapes.

As expected for fans of the silhouette, this iteration features a mix of greys and metallic silvers; a natural homage to the urban cityscapes of towering skyscrapers. Accents of royal blue add a clean, crisp touch, while the exposed GEL cushioning in jet black provides a grounded contrast. While the GEL-NYC may not yet achieve the same sell out status as the ever popular GEL-Kayano models, it continues to stand out for its exceptional comfort and effortlessly stylish design.

The ASICS GEL-NYC “Gravel” will be available this spring through ASICS’ official channels, retailing at the standard retail price of £145.
