With Air Max 97 and Air Max Sunder projects in the pipeline, it looks like Rei Kawakubo will be add a third Swoosh collaboration under her belt with the COMME des GARÇONS x Nike Terminator High. Falling under CDG's Homme Plus banner, while these weren't officially shown off at the Japanese label's Paris Fashion Week Men's presentation, HYPEBEAST were lucky enough to get a BTS sneak peek of the shoes - and here's what we know so far!
If you think that the Terminator High looks suspiciously similar to the Air Jordan 1 High and the Dunk High, all three silhouettes actually made their debut in 1985, so it's obvious that hype surrounding basketball models were at an all-time high back then. Arriving in the silhouette's OG colourways including "Black", "Blue", and "Red", it boasts an ultra premium all-leather construction that's as timeless as it gets. Featuring the OG shape and structure, the extended ankle offers up an insane amount of support both on and off the court.
A Nike Swoosh shoots across the lateral and medial side panels, while perforations on the toebox offer up that classic look that we all know and love. To round it all, CDG x NIKE co-branding is finely stamped around the back, finalising the classic designs.
Expected to arrive sometime in Spring 2023, the COMME des GARÇONS Homme Plus x Nike Terminator High should not be missed. Make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for more info as it develops, and while you're here, you might as well take a closer look at the Air Jordan 1 High OG "Chicago Reimagined"!
