Comme des Garçons warm up for another collaboration with Nike in 2023, this time setting its eyes on the recently retro’d Terminator High. The Terminator High has always been considered the connoisseurs choice, regularly overshadowed by the Nike Dunk and Air Force 1 which also dominated the ‘80s period in which they were originally released. With CDG at the helm, questions surrounding the silhouette’s quality can now be brushed aside, especially considering the £230 price point.

The “Blue” edition follows the same traditional make-up as the ‘80s iterations, with a duotone colour scheme covering the upper. The simple leather panelling is highlighted by the use of blue leather, creating enough contrast between the front and back portions of the shoe. The lined perforations and flat laces are details that keeps the release in line with the pair’s original DNA, also maintained on the rear with a capitalised “NIKE” wordmark. As for the tongue, a simple Nike logo is debossed onto a leather label, swapping out the standard woven version you expect to find on general release pairs.
