Basketball players weren't the only ones to take notice when the Jordan 1 OG first launched back in 1985. Away from the hardwood and this trainer was making waves across all manner of sub cultures. From hip-hop artists to movie stars, tech moguls and everyone in between, this was a shoe that seemed universal in its appeal. That said, it was the skate fraternity that were surprisingly accommodating to this outside influence.
Riders such as Lance Mountain brought a new meaning to the shoe and created a legacy that still lasts to this day. Back in 2014, the first Jordan and Nike SB crossover arrived as a unique homage to both the 'Banned' and 'Royal' colourways.
Now, after a several year wait, these two Nike brands collide once again. The Jordan 1 OG x Nike SB is coming in two colourways and launching way sooner than expected.
The first of the pack sports a Lakers-inspired colourway. Like the other pair, this style features scratch-away uppers. The wearer can either scratch to reveal the black and red colourway underneath or let the shoe fade into that style over time. It's a one-of-a-kind feature that'll no doubt make these hugely in-demand with collectors.
The Jordan 1 OG x Nike SB 'Light Bone' sports a similar construct, revealing a pink colourway as a far more dramatic contrast. Tumbled leather is utilised across the upper with all the classic details throughout. That includes the Jumpman branding, Swoosh and Wings logo.
Thankfully, there's not too long to wait as both styles of the Jordan 1 OG x Nike SB release on May 25th. For more info, keep it dialled in to our social media pages! Otherwise, take a look at the latest Nike Jordan releases here.
