The Nike Squash-Type has collectively been one of our favourite sneakers this year at The Sole Supplier. The ultra-clean court sneaker showcases premium materials and well-composed colorways nearly every single time, what more could you want from a GR sneaker?!
The latest variation of the retro silhouette has caught our eyes once again, as it’s decked out in a colorway that’s strikingly similar to the legendary AJ1 “Shattered Backboard”! Fans of Jordan Brand will know that this is one of the most desirable pairs on the label’s roster, so these Squash-Type’s could well be a suitable alternative, for a way more affordable price!
The uppers are crafted from a range of high-end materials including suede, leather and athletic mesh for a premium appearance. The white base layer is accentuated with hits on black and orange for the iconic colorway, with Nike’s Swoosh logo running across both the lateral and medial sides in an outlined form.
Underfoot, the ‘70s-inspired court sole conceals plenty of modern-day Nike cushioning to ensure that these are more than capable of dealing with long days of wear, with a durable rubber outsole finishing off the look. If you’ve been drooling over Shattered Backboards for years, these are the strongest alternative yet!
The Nike Squash-Type “Summit White/Dark Obsidian/Alpha Orange” is available at select retailers across the internet now and will likely see a wider release soon. If you’re looking to pick the pair up, stay locked in right here at The Sole Supplier for all the latest news and information! While you’re here, check out the Nike Dunk Low “UNLV”!
