The New Balance 574 "History Class" Pulls Inspiration from the '80s

Boston footwear label New Balance may appear very busy working with high-profile designers on collaborations—predominantly on the 99x linage, but this doesn't necessarily mean that they've neglected their other silhouettes like the iconic 574 that entranced the sneaker universe in the '80s. The New Balance 574 "History Class" trio is a case in point here—scheduled to launch in three classic colourways that pull inspiration from the model's first ensembles on its inauguration.

The New Balance 574 "History Class Grey" helms the assemblage—an obvious nod to the brand's signature greyscale colourway. Hits of steel blue also accent other areas of this suede and mesh-crafted New Balance 574, complementing the colour balance gently.

The "Navy" pair follows the same setup, indulging in supple suede overlays and breathable mesh underlays. The premium setup is also applied on the "White" iteration, though very diverse in the colour scheme, of course. All offerings come with traditional NB branding details on the tongue, insoles, and heel regions alike, while an ENCAP midsole tooling underneath completes the set in true NB574 fashion.
