Off the back of its latest collaborative efforts with Aimé Leon Dore, New Balance's hot streak continues to flourish in 2023. The Boston-based brand has now readied two fresh iterations of its ever-popular 991 silhouette, delivering a duo ready for year-round wear and styling.
A mainstay in New Balance's arsenal since 2001, the 991 (originally titled the M991) is a silhouette with both technology and style bursting at the seams. With ABZORB cushioning at the midsole and quality fabric uppers, this trainer provides comfort when you need it most, making it the perfect day-to-day runner.
These latest additions arrive with two new distinctive colourways, namely "Bruschetta" and "Ponderosa Pine." The "Bruschetta" pair doesn't quite adopt the same vivid hue as its antipasto inspiration, but instead, it offers a muted orange tint. "Ponderosa Pine," on the other hand, adopts a deep, almost forest green hue, perhaps taking inspiration from the drab landscape surrounding New Balance's Flimby location where the shoes are crafted. Each pair is finalised with a hairy suede finish and NB's signature "N" logo adorning the lateral walls. The shoes are yet to land on New Balance's UK site, so keep your eyes peeled for all the latest! In related news, the Joe Freshgoods x New Balance "Beneath the Surface" pack is as gorpy as it gets.
