After news broke out that the Three Stripes giant and Reebok will be parting ways to focus more on their objectives respectively, both brands have already begun to show results diverse to each other's aesthetic. While adidas continue to maintain its long-term partnerships with the likes of Kanye West and Pharrell Williams, Reebok has not only been hosting the hottest sneaker collaborations recently with luxury fashion houses but also immersing itself with innovative ideas to create fashion-forward silhouettes such as the all-new Reebok Zig 3D Storm Hydro.
Boasting a futuristic framework born from the creative minds of Reebok Special Project's footwear designer Evan Belforti and Ryan Forsyth, the Zig 3D Storm Hydro sees a multi-layered complex upper inspired by archived Reebok water shoes and football boots. This then sits atop a Zig Kinetica II midsole that delivers optimal comfort, and kinetic energy return, all thanks to the sportswear giant's in-house cushioning technologies dubbed Floatride Fuel and Zig Energy.

Here we see the futuristic-inspired shoe dipped in stark black hues, only leaving faint accents of grey in the form of Reebok's vector logo imprinted on the lateral heel, keeping the branding minimal. The underlays work on ultra-breathable mesh textiles, ensuring that the lightweight experience offered will not be overlooked by the wearer. Elsewhere, you'll see TPU overlays stretched across the front and sidewalls, adding more structure and protection specifically, but is also part of the newly-developed ShelterShield Shroud speed lacing system which also features a toe hook and lace lock. The contemporary look is complete with a reflective welding strip across the sides and further branding details on other regions.
For now, the Reebok Zig 3D Storm Hydro "Black" is the only colourway unveiled but we have no doubts that a stream of other variants are also geared up for a release date. Let us know if you'll be adding these to your collection and in related news, the Juun.J x Reebok Instapump Fury is done up with a luxe glossy makeover and they look absolutely stunning! As always, keep it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier as we'll be the first to notify you regarding the latest Reebok trainer release dates, news, teasers, and much more.
