The Nike Adapt BB Goes Back To The Future With A Mag-Inspired Colourway

Nike
By Christian Davies • Head of Content and Affiliate Partnerships • 20 May

It's hard to imagine the day when we won't instantly think of Marty McFly every time someone mentions "self-lacing sneakers";. Back To The Future was the film that first pioneered an idea so appealing that generations later, it's still considered one of the ultimate sneakers.

Of course, once this technology does eventually break through into the mainstream, maybe we won't instantly relate it to hover boards and a souped-up DeLorean. For now though, it seems Nike is more than happy to celebrate the connection. The upcoming Nike Adapt BB Mag Grey brings the best of that colourway, first seen more than three decades ago!

The revolutionary Adapt BB features a marbled splattering of colour against a turquoise blue midsole. First and foremost, this is a basketball trainer but we're guessing these are about to be a lifestyle favourite.

Just like the Mag, a glowing blue light is fitted to the centre of the midsole. Rising across the upper is a mesh material and whilst these don't feature visible laces, you can be assured of an ultra-adaptive fit.

With the flick of a switch across the heel, these can be tightened or loosened depending on you preference. An oversized Swoosh sits across the sidewall and Nike branding features to the tongue.

The Nike Adapt BB Mag Grey is scheduled to launch on Wednesday, May 29th via Nike UK. For more updates on this futuristic trainer, keep it locked to @thesolesupplier.
