There’s not many sneakers out there that are as timeless as the Nike Air Force 1. Introduced all the way back in 1982 and designed by Bruce Kilgore, we’ve seen thousands of variants launch over the years and the silhouette has pretty much never gone out of fashion. While some say that you shouldn’t mess with a classic, the Swoosh brand isn’t afraid to take risks, as we can clearly see with this freshly-unveiled take on the model.
Titled the Air Force 1 Shell, this brand-new release offers up a wholly futuristic take on the sneakers along with winterised features to make it perfect for the colder months ahead of us. Visually, the pair are a cross between the classic AF1 and a moon-boot, yet we’re totally here for it!
The uppers seem to be crafted mainly from a durable synthetic shell fabric, with stitched panels adding to the iconic AF1 outline. Nike’s signature Swoosh logo is printed on the lateral sides along with a smaller version below, while special-edition tabs are stitched onto the medial side with vibrant orange stitches. The pair showcase an extra high-top silhouette and are fastened via an elastic pull tab at the rear. Furry lining keeps your feet warm at all times while this all sits on top of a full-length Nike Air midsole for optimised comfort.
If you’re into the crazy look of the Nike Air Force 1 Shell as much as we are, then the good news is that it’s set to release in the coming weeks. No actual date has been confirmed however, so make sure to keep it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier for all the latest updates as they happen. In the meantime, check out the rest of our site and take a look at the best halloween sneakers of all time!
